Kim Kyu Jong was born on February 24, 1987 in Seoul, South Korea. He is also a member of the boy band SS501. Along with other members Heo Young Saeng and Kim Hyung Jun, Kyu Jong was part of the SS501 Project Group. He also wrote part of the lyrics to one of the bands songs “Green Peas” which was written for their fans.
In June 2010, Kyu Jong signed with the DSP Media along with Young Saeng to start his solo career. On September 27, 2011 he released his first mini album titled turn me on with the titled track called Yesterday. Also in this mini album Young Saeng is featured doing a rap in the track My Love. Kyu Jong also was featured in one of Young Saengs mini albums. In June 2012, it was announced that Kim Kyu Jong will start his Korean military services. In July he held a fan meeting and all of SS501 was present for the event. This was the first time the group has been seen together as one in two years.
On July 18, 2012, Jong released a limited edition mini album titled Meet Me Again dedicated to his fans before leaving for the military. It contained 3 tracks with one titled Thank U that he composed himself. It is rumored that after Kim Kyu Jong’s military services are over that SS501 will be making a comeback, but it is just rumored and nothing more.
