Introducting a Korean sensation, Big Bang was founded in 2006 by YG Entertainment. The members are Leader G-Dragon, TOP, Taeyang, Daesung, and Seungri. The 5-cell boyband group made their debut on August 19th, 2006, at the Gymnastics Arena in Seoul Olympic Park during the YG family 10th Year Concert. On September 23rd, 2006, they made their television debut.
They went on to released their first group single titled BigBang. The album contained two original songs and a re-done version of America’s Maroon 5 “The Love”. The song was sang by G-Dragon and sold nearly 40,000 copies.They then released another single titled Big Bang Is VIP and then later they released BigBang 03. In December 2006, Big Bang had their very first concert called The Real. After the concert their debut album was released and sold 48,000 copies by that coming February. In 2007, Big Bang decided they wanted to take control of their own music so Leader GD wrote and composed many of the songs on their first mini album titled Always. Most popular song titled Lies, brought out a different style of music by incorporating electronic music into it.
