Dong Young-Bae, also known as Taeyang, was born on May 18th, 1988 in Seoul, South Korea. He began his work with YG Entertainment at the age of 12 with band member G-Dragon and in 2006 he debuted with his group Big Bang. In 2008 during the groups activities ended he began to work on his solo albums.
He then released two singles called Only Look At Me and Prayer. To promote these singles he held a solo concert called Hot, which was a huge success. In 2009, Taeyang went to released two new digital singles titled Where U At and Wedding Dress. Wedding Dress has become amazing popular all over the globe and even hit number 3 on the Dutch music charts. He released his very first full length album in 2010 titled Solar. The album contained 13 songs with two new songs called I Need a Girl, which featured G-Dragon, and another titled I’ll Be There. He is scheduled to release another solo album in 2013.
